History
As it is a beach further away from the city center and facing the open sea, it is much sought after by surfers, of great extension, it has a good strip of light and fine sand, ideal for a walk at dusk. Its sea is with good waves and crystal clear water.
Being quite frequented by young people, it has a good infrastructure with inns, bars and restaurants. In high season it becomes quite disputed.
In a short time, it became the hottest beach in Salvador, especially at the “point” that is usually called “Aleluia”. It is a beach where bathing is recommended with warm, clean waters and great natural pools, as opposed to several beaches with prohibitive levels of pollution for this very special leisure.
To get there, you have several options: your own car, an application car or public transport to the Praia do Flamengo terminal.
