Maurício is a person linked to culture. It calls itself a multiplier agent and understands that the posture of detachment is necessary for the multiplication of experiences and of the cultural action itself.

Reserved, works with advertising for his livelihood but what he likes is art and culture, because “yesterday is a story, tomorrow is a mystery but today is a gift from God to be lived”.

He believes that passing the baton is a necessary and primordial ritual for health in the associative process, referring to his learning with Mestre Djauma of capoeira and afro dance.

For 16 years he was a ballroom dancing teacher, where he was nominated as Merchant of Joy by some students. Dancing has always done with pleasure, using this work always multiplying his technique, never appropriating himself, he valued the sharing of dancing, of the personal dancer . It was in Corredor da Vitória that he debuted as a personal and his student who was 78 years old at the time is now 97 and still dances, a little less but dances. It was a great learning experience. “Dance welcomed me” says Maurício. Today he is a practitioner and remembers with nostalgia his days as a teacher.

He has his experience with percussion with the participation of several groups, he is fond of samba de roda, and he has seen many projects lost due to the group's disarticulation.

Taken to Beco do Sirilo , behind Anísio Teixeira on Estrada da Rainha, the area where Popó was raised. Hearing a lot of noise on a slab, he was impressed to learn that it was the late Lindaura who gathered boys to give benches and do various activities. It changed your life. He saw that there are good people doing good things. He returned there with a donation of school material, started teaching and became the project's director ( Evaci – Voluntary Group for Children and Youth for Child Support). Unfortunately the project did not follow after Lindaura's death.

Travel in clowning. Understands as an activity that has audiences of all ages. You must have the following gift. “I love being the character Clown Pimpôlho , with him I learned that sadness is scared away with joy”.

Music comes in with reference to liking production. He has already studied with Maestro Fred Dantas, Eduardo Pixinguinha and despite not having completed his studies, he still has the desire to implement a philharmonic and he will certainly succeed. He talks about the SOS Aldeia Project, about how many people were trained in this project.

He believes in the transformative power of these social works. “It is enough to water and take care that the seed grows and blooms”.

You continue your struggle in the culture because it brings you personal achievements that money does not.

His Brazilian musicality and bold interpretations won, in addition to a loyal audience, the praise of critics. As an interpreter, Erick worked with the groups Cesta Básica (PB), Mercedes Band (CE) and Grupo Etc and Tal (AL), already with the groups Sine Qua Non (PB) and Zaraquê Trio (RN) recorded albums where he also acted as composer.
