History
Preparations at Buraquinho beach start early at dawn, where devotees deliver their offerings to the Queen of Waters, with many flowers, perfumes and aromatic products along with prayers of thanks and requests.
The scent of Lavender is mixed with the sound of drums, as a tradition every year, the devotees of Iemanjá ask for peace, protection and unity, in a party that brings together thousands of believers and tourists.
The party has the support of the City of Lauro de Freitas, through SECULT (Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism). The commemoration is part of the official calendar of cultural events in the municipality of Bahia, receiving approval from the CMPC (Municipal Council for Cultural Policy).
