Renato Lima de Oliveira is a Bahian actor from Lauro de Freitas, he has participated in shows at the UFBA Theater School, on TV he starred in a series for the public network with the exhibition on TV BAHIA, TV BRASIL, TV FUTURA and REDE ANÍSIO TEIXEIRA.

He started his theatrical career still in high school, surprising his teachers with his always controversial texts.

In the cinema, he participated in the film “Contos de um Carnaval” and has also been featured in independent productions and screenings at festivals such as Boca de Brasa, NEOJIBA Music Festival, and the musical “Alice in Wonderland” at Teatro Jorge Amado. He is also a writer of chronicles and essays, with many of his texts published on the LAURO NEWS website. Renato is director of the Polo de Atores e Dramaturgia da Bahia.

In 1998, he founded the Loubus Theater Company together with sociologist Célia Lopes and actor Edson Oliva, and also performed as the character Satan in the staging of the Passion of Christ by Lauro de Freitas. He had the feat of playing 9 characters in the assembly “Controvérsias” in 2001 on display at the theater of SESC Pelourinho.

With the achievement of his professional DRT, Renato Lima launched his first production in 2007 under the direction of Edson Oliva, a partnership that won five awards at the Pojuca Theater Festival, including best show, and Lima was nominated for best actor.

He wrote the play Schizophenic portraying a prostitute and her everyday life with romantic visions of her own life. Renato Lima is considered a versatile and controversial actor, with a personal quote “I am an artist of mediocre lies”. As a plastic artist, he applies various techniques such as collage, oil paint on canvas and graphic drawings, among others.

It should be noted that Lima is the director of the Polo de Actors and coordinator of the Dom Quixote nucleus, creator and member of the IABA of the Instituto de Adereços da Bahia.
