History
During the Carnival period in Lauro de Freitas, the cultural events that take place value local artists. The programming of the city's carnival festivities begins with the choice of King Momo and his Queen.
All programming is sponsored by the Municipal Fund for Culture, which has the support of the government of the State of Bahia. The Bankoma is the traditional african block of Lauro de Freitas that brings the beauty of the dances and costumes and infect the residents who witness the parade.
