On a refreshing winter afternoon, the sun shone in a pandemic for art and poetry. This phenomenon happened to toast the unprecedented poetry contest created by the Youth Secretariat of Lauro de Freitas, in which Lauro Criativa was present covering.

On the occasion we had the opportunity to meet at the Cine Teatro Tude Celestino, in the Center of Lauro de Freitas, on the last day of August 2021 (a Tuesday), to watch six young people declaim beautiful poems, in addition to presentations by other guests, showing that young people have a voice, talent and inspiration. It was beautiful!

On the occasion, a fair tribute was paid to the centenary of the Ipitanguense poet Tude Celestino de Souza, for his literary importance and for his achievements in the cultural field of our municipality while he lived, with the family being represented by his daughter Tina Tude.

The event was carried out with all care protocols due to the pandemic (Covid19). In addition to the controlled public, the poet Leda Seara, a collaborator of the contest and representing the Municipal Movement for the Struggle of People with Disabilities and the Elderly, and the poets who made special participations in the event were also present.

Unfortunately, the awarding was restricted to the delivery of only four trophies: first, second and third classifications and best declamation. A material incentive is important, aiming to demonstrate recognition by the public authorities of the artistic potential of young talents, who are many, and the adhesion to this type of initiative. Here's the tip!
